What’s Happening Now (Check Here Frequently)

Greetings all:
This is an urgent call out for support for workers who need labours support and protection.
Library workers in Essex have been on strike for over 2 months now. The employer is not moving and these workers are isolated and feeling very beaten up.
CUPE Ontario and the OFL are holding a solidarity rally and lunch this Wednesday at 11 to 1. (It’s at the Leamington Library at 1 John Street, Leamington, N8H 1H1.)  There are buses leaving from Guelph the Go station (401 and 6) at 745 am. There will be a couple of cars driving to parking lot so we can get folks from Guelph to go stop. It’s a coach bus (washroom available) and we will be watching a movie, playing games and writing and practicing ‎chants. We will have snacks and drinks on the bus and lunch will be provided when we are at rally.
I know it’s hard to give up your last days of summer and I know it’s a long way away, but I plead with you to try and make it so that these workers and all workers know – no one will be left behind and no one is alone in this struggle.
Please call or email me if you are able to attend and please see if you can’t find others to come with us.
My cell is 519-766-8376 and you can respond also to this email folkdawson@gmail.com.
Peace and solidarity
