Prior to the Board of Governor’s meeting held in April, We had a rally in the U.C. and then proceeded to march to the meeting and continue to protest the passing of the budget which would see another tuition increase. We managed to shut the meeting down, however to avoid anymore “disruptive behaviour” a new meeting took place via conference call and therefore the budget was passed.
Mental Health Awareness Week May 4-8
Cupe as well as Steel and The Central Student’s Association, provided material for an information table set up all week in the U.C. We were giving out sticker’s to describe how people were feeling to help engage in conversation as well literature and great conversation.
Raise the Minimum wage:
There will be action’s taking place on the 15th of every month to promote a 15$ minimum wage.
